Plot

SpongeBob reads a scary book before going to sleep, and develops a fear of the dark. He goes to work the next day, but his fear gets so intense that he screams whenever he blinks because he sees darkness. He tries to keep his eyes open, but fails. That night, SpongeBob runs to the Barg'N Mart and buys night lights for the dark places, such as the bathroom and library. He buys about 100 more night lights and covers the inside of his house walls with them. Patrick wakes up, mistakes the lights for a party, and marches over to SpongeBob's house, angry because he wasn't invited. SpongeBob pulls him inside and tells him about the eeriness of the dark. Patrick, now afraid, pushes his rock into SpongeBob's house, thus creating a massive dark hole in the wall.
