- If you look closely at the end of the episode, on the TV you can actually see the main end credits of the show.
- The team of The International Justice League of Super Acquaintances looks much different. The Quickster has also been replaced by "the Pirite Ponderer."
- In one scene, SpongeBob's eyelashes disappear.
- B.G.A.T.F.B.C. stands for Bad Guys All Together For Book Club.

- In the video, the younger Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy have their recent voices. But in Back to the Past, younger Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy sound different.
- It is unknown who sent SpongeBob the lost episode cassette, but it could've been Mermaidman or Barnacleboy.
- This episode's title card looks similar to Mermaid Man vs. SpongeBob's title card.
