Shady Shoals is an underwater retirement home for elderly creatures. Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy live there. It is a place where retired citizens watch television, play chess, rock on chairs, sleep, play bingo(not Bongo), and do what you do after you retire from your job. It was destroyed in Mermaid Man vs SpongeBob because Plankton went there, controlled Mermaid Man, and made them evil!
Design
The Shady Shoals Retirement home is like an average retirement home, it has a huge canteen which people eat from, showers and bedrooms. it is well refurbished and has many places of interest. The exterior though is very average.
