Plot
Spongebob is bed, reading a story. He then turns off the light and tries to sleep, but the story has made him scared of the dark. He keeps switching the light on and off and screaming all night. The next morning, at work, he screams every few seconds for apparently no reason, until Spongebob explains to Mr. Krabs 'every time I close my eyes, I see nothing but dark'. Mr. Krabs then suggest that Spongebob gets a nightlight. Spongebob goes to Barg'n Mart to by one, but ends up putting them everywhere in his house. Patrick wakes up and goes over to Spongebob's House, thinking he is having a party. They get more lights and wake up Squidward, who tells them that the 'creepy creatures of the dark' are in their imagination, so they get more lights, accindentally summoning Mermaidman and Barnacleboy. However their nemisis, The Moth, comes and lifts Spongebob's entire pineapple house away. The sun comes up and Patrick tries to get it, but comes back down on fire. Spongebob has fallen asleep.
