[edit] Plot
Plankton attempts to strike up a friendship with Squidward and pretends to like his music in order to get the Krabby Patty recipe. Squidward initially dismisses him, thinking that Plankton is trying to get him to eat at the Chum Bucket, but when Plankton compliments his music skills which in reality are far from good, Squidward agrees to be friends with Plankton. They both play the clarinet around the city, but as Squidward has no talent, the people of Bikini Bottom get disturbed and begin to riot when they hear his music. Eventually Plankton begins to question Squidward about the Krabby Patty Recipe, but he soon learns that Squidward knows nothing about the recipe and is now intending to quit his job at the Krusty Krab and become a famous musician. Plankton's earplugs that he uses to not be able to hear Squidward's bad music skills, falls off and so when Squidward begins to play again, Plankton ends their friendship and swipes the clarinet and runs off with it, with Squidward in pursuit. Squidward and SpongeBob chase Plankton for the clarinet, but Plankton ends up being arrested by police officers, for the music disturbance that Squidward caused earlier, as Plankton is the only one with an instrument - he is blamed for Squidward's actions. Plankton is taken away to prison and the police car runs over and crushes Squidward's clarinet to his sadness.
