Stephen Hillenburg
Stephen Hillenburg (August 21, 1961 - November 26, 2018) was the creator of SpongeBob SquarePants. He was a marine biology teacher at what is now the Orange County Ocean Institute. He worked as a marine biologist from 1984-1987. In 1987, Hillenburg switched his career to animation and came up with one of the best shows of all time.
On May 1, 1999, SpongeBob SquarePants aired on Nickelodeon. Hillenburg also directed and produced the Nicktoon Rocko's Modern Life. He died of ALS on November 26, 2018 at the age of 57.

- In Help Wanted his last name was misspelled as "Hilleburg".
- For Seasons 1-4, he also voiced Potty the Parrot.
- In The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie Magazine, his name is spelt as "Steve Hillenburg"
