The Googly Artiste is an episode from Season 8.

Plot

Squidward is eager to uncover a statue of himself to an art critic. Meanwhile, Patrick and SpongeBob made art andPatrick made Googly eyes on rocks. The art critic comes and when he sees Squidward's statue he gets disgusted and confiscates Squidward's art beret. The art critic then judges SpongeBob's work, deciding it lame, but then praises Patrick's art and spends $500 for it and gives Patrick Squidward's confiscated beret. Patrick's artwork becomes so famous that he runs out of rocks. So he tries to find something else to make googly eyes with, but that doesn't work out. Then Patrick goes to the Krusty Krab for lunch and orders, "art advice" which Squidward says isn't on the menu until Mr. Krabs appears and adds it as an item. Mr. Krabs tells Squidward to give Patrick art advice, but he doesn't of course.

Squidward is upset that his art is branded as lame and so he tells him to look at the Krabby Patty. Patrick ends up putting googly eyes on Krabby patties and making lots of money again and getting more famous. Mr. Krabs however gets jealous of the money Patrick makes and hires Patrick to make his art to get him fame but under the condition that Mr. Krabs keeps the money for himself. He got help from Squidward. Squidward starts to cry because Patrick's Art was faumous than his.

Trivia

When Patrick says he's out of rocks, you can see a rock beside him. Maybe Patrick didn't see it.
Patrick was able to paint the Starry Night and to sculpt The Thinker
