Plot

The episode starts outside the Krusty Krab. It has a sign that says 'Komedy Krab' outside. Inside, Doogie Williams, a comedian, throws pies at the audience. SpongeBob comes out next and he tells terrible jokes so the people boo at him. SpongeBob worries until he notices Sandy's teeth. He makes a joke about them and everyone laughs except Sandy. SpongeBob continues joking about squirrels because of the crowd's positive reaction. After the show, Sandy confronts SpongeBob and tells him that the jokes are hurtful. SpongeBob says that he was just joking and that everyone should laugh at themselves once in a while. The next day, Sandy is ridiculed at the Barg'N-Mart so she tells SpongeBob not to joke about squirrels anymore and to tell some other jokes. SpongeBob gets nervous because the crowd isn't laughing. He asks himself if he should choose his friends or his career. He goes backstage and jumps out with giant hillbilly teeth and says that squirrels are stupid. After the show, SpongeBob sees a note taped to the mirror. It says that Sandy thinks the jokes are funny and to go to the treedome and celebrate. The next day, SpongeBob goes to the treedome and sees Sandy dressed like a hillbilly. She acts stupid and puts too much water in SpongeBob. SpongeBob understands and promises not to tell anymore squirrel jokes. In the show, SpongeBob tells jokes about other sea creatures. The crowd is happy and so are SpongeBob and Sandy. SpongeBob tells a joke about starfish and the episode ends.
