- It is a reference to a famous carnival ride, Tunnel of Love and a song called Magnet of Love.
- The Fiery Fist O Pain appears at the beginning of the episode.
- This is the third episode where Pearl views SpongeBob as an enemy, the first being The Chaperone, the second being The Slumber Party. However, she later made up in the end.
- This episode and Shellback Shenanigans were released online in August 2010.
