- The cover has green goo on it, but in the game it is orange goo.
- SpongeBob fights with a Jimmy Neutron villian called, Beautiful Gorgeous, in level 1.
- It is the second game with SpongeBob at Volcano Island.
- The SpongeBob characters in this game are SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Gary, and Plankton. SpongeBob and Plankton are the playable ones and Patrick, Squidward, and Gary are the unplayable ones. Although Mr. Krabs is mentioned twice.
- Bubble Bass appears as a boss in this game.
