  • 2-SpongeBob SquarePants aired regularly on a Monday for the first time (it was originally going to happen on March 5, but The Wild Thornberrys aired on that day instead).
  • 3-SpongeBob aired regularly on a Tuesday for the first time (it was originally going to happen on March 6, but The Wild Thornberrys aired on that day instead).
  • 4-SpongeBob aired regularly on a Wednesday for the first time (it was originally going to happen on March 7, but The Wild Thornberrys aired on that day instead).
  • 22-28-SpongeBob aired on Nickelodeon every day in a single week for the first time.
    • 27-SpongeBob aired regularly on a Friday for the first time.

  • 5-The episodes Just One Bite and The Bully aired. The original uncut version of "Just One Bite," which features a scene that would ultimately be deleted due to its violent nature, is pulled after an edited, shorter version is broadcast on January 2, 2002.
  • 12-The episodes Squid on Strike and Sandy, SpongeBob, and the Worm aired.
  • 19-The episodes Procrastination and I'm With Stupid aired. "Procrastination" features some scenes on its original airing that would be deleted from all subsequent broadcasts due to time constraints; the episode is included in its uncut form on all DVD releases.
