Krusty Karen is a comic featured in Nickelodeon Magazine and Comic Crazy...Take 2!. In the comic, Plankton makes Karen mad, so she takes a job at the Krusty Krab.

[edit] Plot

At the Chum Bucket, Plankton is working on another scheme to steal the Krabby Patty Formula. However, Karen tells him that he needs a break and suggests that they play a game together. Plankton refuses, demanding that she finish calculating how big a catapult he needs. This angers Karen, and she leaves. She then arrives at the Krusty Krab and tells Mr. Krabs that she'd like to help out. Krabs initially refuses, but after Karen says she'll work for free, he hires her.

Karen asks SpongeBob and Squidward about what can be done to make the Krusty Krab run more efficiently. SpongeBob states that nothing needs to be done, but Squidward says he has to add up the orders on an abacus. Not long after, Squidward learns from Mr. Krabs that Karen has rigged the ordering system so the orders go directly to SPongeBob along with motivational messages. Squidward then learns that his new job is to carry the food to the customers. Karen's updates cause the Krusty Krab to serve more customers than ever before, and Krabs suggests that the food needs to come faster. To SpongeBob's shock, Karen says she can easily mechanize the cooking process and does so.

Later, SpongeBob and Squidward are told by Krabs to take a vacation "without pay", not telling them how long their vacation will be. SpongeBob asks Karen when she'll go back to Plankton, but she says she never will unless he wins her back with romance. SpongeBob and Squidward promptly go to the Chum Bucket and tell Plankton about Karen's whereabouts. At the Krusty Krab, Plankton demands that Karen immediately come home, but she refuses to leave the Krusty Krab unless he woos her. Unfamiliar with the term "woo," Plankton is told that he should treat Karen romantically, and SpongeBob divests a plan. Squidward is dressed as a "lady computer" to make Karen jealous and has dinner with Plankton, with Patrick, wearing a wig, coming along as an "understudy." The plan backfires and Karen orders Plankton and Squidward to leave while Patrick asks "Now, is it my turn?"
