Plot

GrandPat dreams that he is fishing. His dream self wakes him up, and he sees the family setting up a yard sale in the front lawn. GrandPat scoffs at the idea, not wanting to sell his precious belongings, and suddenly realizes that the family must be selling them without his consent. He rushes downstairs and catches Patrick giving away a treasure chest of gold. He steals it back from the buyer and gives him a lollipop in return.

Cecil tells GrandPat that everyone in the family contributed items to the yard sale, and Patrick says that he simply had the most "old junk" to sell. GrandPat explains that each of the antiques represents a memory of his. He takes a foam finger from a buyer and says that he got it in ancient Rome. He starts having a vision.

GrandPat recalls his days in ancient Rome, where a feared gladiator named Moronicus fought in the Clamiseum. While strong, Monoricus could not tell the gladiators from the actual Clamiseum staff. It was GrandPat's job to dress like a clown and distract him, to the crowd's disapproval. GrandPat makes a balloon animal as a distraction and places a barrel over Moronicus's head, leading him to smash headfirst into a column and fall into a dazed state. The crowd applauds and showers GrandPat in the thumbs, which accidentally hurts him since they are made of concrete.

Patrick had not listened to the story, and GrandPat sees Bubble Bass trying to buy a "vintage nose hair puller." He says they were teeth-pulling pliers from his medieval dentistry days. GrandPat was the only "toothsmith," a blacksmith who operates on teeth, in the kingdom. After pulling out a patient's tooth, he gets a message from Princess Pearlina, and goes over to her castle. Although it initially seems like Pearlina has a toothache, it is actually her pet dragon. GrandPat goes inside the dragon's mouth, and gets burned multiple times by his fire breath. With the help of a knight he meets, and Pearlina's strength, he manages to pull out the tooth. In the present day, GrandPat takes back his pliers and prevents his dragon tooth furniture from being sold.

Slappy shows up with a disembodied brain, which neither GrandPat nor Patrick recognize, so GrandPat lets him have it. Mr. Krabs shows up, wanting to buy a vacuum cleaner, and GrandPat explains that it is from his job as a vacuum salesman in 1849. In the flashback, he goes up to an old prospector and cleans his mine to demonstrate. When he turns up the power, he sucks up all the gold in the mine, and the miner himself. While GrandPat is in his trance, Mr. Krabs buys the vacuum from Patrick.

GrandPat then catches a little girl trying to buy a hula hoop, which he claims is an "oldie-o" he got in the future. A flash-forward to GrandPat in the far future shows him buying an oldie-o, a device meant to assist old people. He returns to his job at the Clamiseum, where an elderly Moronicus is still employed. GrandPat, again dressed as a clown, puts an oldie-o over him to get him to sleep, getting applause from the crowd. The girl refuses to believe his story, but it turns out to actually be one of his oldie-os. GrandPat yells at Patrick to stop selling his items, and confiscates all of them from the customers.

A mother and her son show up and want to buy a new grandpa, since their old one is "on the fritz." They pay GrandPat 50 bucks and a lollipop to be their grandfather. GrandPat enthusiastically leaves his family, and Patrick wishes for a new grandpa. A man advertises Pappy Farms to him, a place where customers can buy new grandfathers. Patrick tries to buy a chicken, and Bunny scolds him. The family waves towards the camera as the advertisement, and the episode, ends.
