Plot

Pearl was dreaming about her 16 birthday party, she was having a great time and then while she was about to jump, she fell out of bed and landed on the first floor. Pearl then asks her father, Mr. Krabs what day it is tomorrow. Mr. Krabs doesn't have a clue, Pearl was angry; her own father doesn't know her birthday. Pearl then remembers that she has had 15 horrible birthday parties. Mr. Krabs then was forced by Pearl to give her the best birthday ever, or else her high school reputation will collapse, she will have to drop out, she will not go off to college, she will never leave home, and Mr. Krabs will have to support her for the rest of her life. Mr. Krabs doesn't want that to happen. While he works on the party, SpongeBob is assigned the task of figuring out what Pearl would like for a present. Mr. Krabs then gives him his credit card, so that if something Pearl wants should be bought, it can be bought with any credit card. So SpongeBob trails Pearl and her friends through the Bikini Bottom Mall and takes note of everything she thinks is "Coral" (cool). Pearl seems to think many things are coral and SpongeBob buys all of them, including a boatmobile. But when Pearl arrives at her party, she is unhappy to find that her dad's miserly ways have won out again. What was supposed to be the most fun and fabulous event ended up cheap and lousy. It looks like Pearl's birthday will go down in history as the lamest one ever, until SpongeBob shows up with a truck-load of presents. SpongeBob even invited her favorite band, Boys Who Cry. Pearl got everything she ever wanted on her 16th. SpongeBob then showed Mr. Krabs his credit card bill, which is expensive.

Trivia/Goofs

  • If you look closely you'll notice that small pieces of wood are by Pearl when she said that she's going to the mall. This must be from Krusty Towers when the hotel collapsed.
  • Mr. Krabs must have over 100 Grand on his credit card, which indicates that he is a millionaire because:
    • The Boys Who Cry band charges 100 Grand just to show up.
    • SpongeBob spent $2,201.95 while shopping for 5 of Pearl's presents.
    • Also, According to the episode: Clams, Mr. Krabs had received his 1 millionth dollar.

  • "Coral" is said again in this episode. The first time it was mentioned was in the episode: Mid-Life Crustacean.

  • Master Carp is a parody of Master Card.
  • Where is the Chum Bucket when Pearl is running and smiling to the Krusty Krab?
  • When Pearl is looking at the sea pony at the mall, SpongeBob as the sea dog isn't there.
