Grammar

Grammar is very important here on SpongePedia so please know what you write. Here are some examples how to use good grammar:

  • Do not write: SpongeBob goes in his house. Then he sees Gary. Then he gives him food. Then Patrick comes in his house.
  • Write instead: When SpongeBob goes into his house, he sees Gary. While he feeds him, Patrick appears.

You see - do not start each or every second sentence with the word "Then". Try to write your article more varied, so the readers have fun reading it. Comma's are very useful, and make a sentence much more interesting and better.

No contractions

If you are writing or editing an article, please do not use contractions like: don't, it's, can't, he'll...

Write instead: do not, it is, can not or cannot, he will...

Of course you may use contractions in Episode Transcripts and on user and user talk pages.
