Patrick's Inflatable Pants

Patrick's Inflatable Pants are a pair of pants that appeared in the episodes Patty Hype, The Sponge Who Could Fly, and Karate Star.

They resemble Patrick's normal shorts exactly, except that these have a built in function that allows them to instantly inflate outwards a few feet, easily enveloping most of Patrick.

In Patty Hype, Patrick wore two pairs of these that appear to be identical. He inflates the first pair during a conversation with him and Spongebob about their underappreciated ideas. They inflate via a handle on the butt, expanding out a few feet and causing Patrick to float upside down, with the pants puffing up enough to cover most of his face. After about 10 seconds, once Spongebob finishes explaining his Pretty Patties idea, Patrick realizes his pants are vastly inferior, and they immediately self-destruct, leaving a single patch of fabric covering Patrick's groin for modesty. He's later seen in a second pair, in which he wears for the rest of the episode. They accidentally inflate of an unknown cause while Patrick is inside Spongebob, but the former is able to deflate them down to size by squeezing out of one of Spongebob's holes. The fate of the second pair is unknown, likely burst as well soon after, since Patrick isn't able to keep up with his own engineering.

Has a handle that sticks out of the back, that causes the pants to inflate to massive proportions if pulled. There is no way to deflate them once inflated other than to have them pressed forcefully inwards, it's unknown if this damages the inflation ability or not but it does allow the pants to survive.

A self-destruct system. Once activated, the pants begin emitting visible gasses, the handle portion ballooning outwards for a few frames, before the pants evenly expand outwards, enveloping Patrick completely from view, before finally blowing up, exploding with a huge 'BOOM' in a big cloud of gas, pieces of the trunks flying outwards in all directions. It's unknown whether this is activated with Patrick's mind, or by a set timer that only inflates the pants for a certain amount of time before bursting. The former would make more sense, as the only pair this is demonstrated on explodes the very second Spongebob finishes his amazing idea. If it is the latter, though, it would make a lot of sense, as not only is Patrick definitely stupid enough to make such a product with such potential that only allows such limited use, but he could have also very well have made this as a gag product, and any pair of these would only last 10 seconds before bursting. Who knows, they might have a really sensitive handle, and Patrick could cause the pants to immediatly overinflate and explode just by pulling the handle far enough and quick enough.
