Plot

While counting his money, Mr. Krabs splits his fingernail while picking up a penny. A phone call earns him a trip to the manicure. Mr. Krabs tries to sneak out of the Krusty Krab without letting his employees find out, or else, he might be convinced to stay. However, SpongeBob catches Mr. Krabs, but then the crab puts the sponge in charge of the resteraunt while he goes to "something secret". SpongeBob thought it was a miracle! But when Squidward tries to relax and not work, he is usually disturbed by SpongeBob's antics about being in charge. Squidward tells SpongeBob all of the Krusty Krab secrets: to recruit a customer as a fry cook, serve food with his feet, trash the whole resteraunt, and dance to entertain the customers so they couldn't leave (in that order). When Mr. Krabs comes back, he was surprised to see what SpongeBob did, and also all the secrets have been revealed. But then he asks SpongeBob if there's a favor he could do for him. The episode ends with Mr. Krabs washing the dishes (and splitting his fingernail again), Squidward sleeping at the register, and SpongeBob dancing to the customers, much to the customers' horror and dismay.

Trivia/Goofs

In Squid Wood, no one was scared when SpongeBob danced. But in this episode all the customers were scared when SpongeBob dances. But then again, it was really Mini Squidward that was "dancing", not SpongeBob. But, SpongeBob did dance with Mini Squidward in a small part in that episode along with the episodes Slimy Dancing, Banned in Bikini Bottom, and I Heart Dancing. But in Slimy Dancing, Everyone had a similar reaction at SpongeBob because he was dancing like Squidward because it was Squidward dancing (SpongeBob and Squidward crash into each other causing Squidward to get into SpongeBob.). And in Banned in Bikini Bottom, No one payed attention. Either that, or he was copying Ms. Gristle Puss' movements. And in I Heart Dancing, he never really danced in front of a crowd except near the middle. At the end of that episode, Squidward comes instead because he tired SpongeBob out so he could get the part.
The German Title is, "Chef vom Dienst", which means "Chief of the Job".
