Deleted Scenes
This is a list of cut/modified scenes from SpongeBob SquarePants. Only two have been confirmed to have existed.
Procrastination- In the original airing, right after SpongeBob said "Gee, this is harder than I thought." he would look out the window and see beautiful scenery of a beach, such as two jellyfish playing tennis, Gary riding a beach ball blowing a horn, & Patrick rubbing sunscreen on Sandy (wearing her helmet and her bikini) The other scenes deleted were shots of SpongeBob saying "I'll be one step closer to my driver's license!" and then showing a car crash, and SpongeBob doing calisthenics to "get some blood pumping in the old noggin."
Just One Bite- The original airing showed a scene in which Squidward entered the closed Krusty Krab and commented on the lack of a security system, as it is only a bucket of water. However, the "water" is actually gas. A robot hand drops a match onto the gas and badly burns Squidward. He flees to the kitchen and the same thing happens. This was probably deleted due to the fact that the 9/11 terrorist attacks had happened only a month ago. This scene can easily be found on YouTube today, but it remains cut in TV airings.
