Plot
SpongeBob wakes up and waves to the mailman. The mailman then crashes into a truck. SpongeBob hugs Gary so tightly, that his shell explodes. He runs out of the side of his house and bumps into Patrick. Patrick falls face-down to the ground which ruins his mother's birthday cake. Then Patrick calls him "Idiotboy!" He then goes to Squidward's house and Squidward gets mad at him and yells "Idiotboy!". He goes to Sandy's Treedome, trips over a log and splashes the water in his fish bowl, which destroys the robot Sandy makes. She also then gets mad and yells "Idiotboy!". SpongeBob goes to the Krusty Krab, crashes into pots and pans, slips over water, which disturbs Mr. Krabs's moneydating. He goes to see what the racket is and lands in the french fry oil which burns the money he was "dating". He gets mad at SpongeBob and yells "idiotboy!" and tells SpongeBob that he would get far away at this time. SpongeBob then thinks that he really is an idiotboy and sobs all the way home. Then he starts packing up his three changes of clothes and says goodbye to Gary. He passes the population sign and changes the number from 538 to 537. While on his way, he takes a nasty fall of a cliff and bumps his head many times on the rocks, but this doesn't give him amnesia. The bag falls on his head and SpongeBob becomes unconcious. He wakes near in New Kelp City (a spoof of New York City). A pair of hobos tell SpongeBob his name is CheeseHead BrownPants where bubble-blowing has been outlawed by a bunch of thugs. SpongeBob uses his bubble-blowing skills to run the thugs out of the city, and he is elected mayor for his actions. Sandy and Patrick knock down SpongeBob's door. The find a note at the bottom of Gary's food bowl that informs them of SpongeBob's departure. After a long period of not seeing him, Sandy, Patrick, Squidward go find him. When they found him, SpongeBob forgets about them thanks to the amnesia. Neither he can go home with his buddies nor stay in New Kelp City, where he is a hero to the citizens. Sandy hatches a plan. SpongeBob has amnesia, so if they bump him again, he goes back to normal. Squidward gets a decorated egg from Mr. Krabs for bringing back SpongeBob. He accidentally slips on a greasy spatula and lets go of the egg, which falls on SpongeBob and brings back his memory. Although he has his memory back, SpongeBob still wants to continue to be mayor of New Kelp City. But the citizens of Kelp City blow so many bubbles that there is no visibilty. visibllity. They blame this on Mayor CheeseHead so SpongeBob decides to resume to his life in Bikini Bottom.
Trivia/Goofs
- Who Bob What Pants? is based on the SpongeBob book For the Love of Bubbles.
- Who Bob What Pants? is possibly a parody of a Jackie Chan movie called "Who Am I" because the main character in the movie like SpongeBob has a nasty fall and forgets who he is.
- The theme song is changed from "SpongeBob SquarePants Theme Song" to "Who Bob What Pants? Theme Song".
- Here, the episode was said to be 74 minutes, but it is actually 30 minutes.
- There is a game called Who Bob, What Pants on nick.com, you have to defeat the Bubble Poppin Boys as SpongeBob, blow bubbles at the BPB (Bubble Poppin Boys) and pop them.
- This is the third episode where SpongeBob develops amnesia or forgets how to do many things.The first was in Pickles, and the second was in Squilliam Returns.
- This marks the third time Sandy cries and sheds tears since Ripped Pants and Texas (twice).
