The Elastic Waistband is a superhero that appeared only in the fifth episode of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy. He is, in fact, Patrick! It all started when Barnacle Boy became a villian. Mermaid Man needed some help to defeat him, so Patrick and his friends put on superhero costumes and they became superheroes! The good thing was that the costumes came with super powers.
