Viewers were able to pick which Nicktoon they wanted to see in a vote-off, with the Nicktoon with the most votes winning and being broadcast. Some Nicktoons were broadcast without a vote-off; such Nicktoons would be aired at the request of a specific viewer. Two SpongeBob SquarePants episodes premiered during the event.
During 2000, some Fridays were branded as U-Pick Friday; these events contained U-Pick events the entire day, including the Daily U-Pick. So far, no new episodes premiered as part of U-Pick Friday.
