Pecos Patrick is Patrick's ancestor and SpongeBuck's idiot friend. Pecos Patrick first appeared in the episode Pest of the West. Pecos Patrick is always there for SpongeBuck and the two become best friends. He loved to Spurskate.
Pecos Patrick, like his current descendant Patrick Star didn't like to give up, and never did gave up, telling SpongeBuck to go save the town (but stop hurting me!).
