The History of SpongePedia is quite simple: In January 2006 Kevin Kyburz (Aku) founded the German SpongePedia —in June 2007 Kevin Kyburz created the English version. Aku who is a German and two other kind teenagers from Australia, Andrew Conely (AndrewRox) and DanielRox wrote the first articles. Then years past, and the community was growing. Now the German SpongePedia has more than 2,400 articles, this English one here has 3,858. But we can still grow: That's why WE NEED YOU! Join SpongePedia Today! Also, recently on January 29, 2011, the Spanish SpongePedia has been founded!
